What’s a moment in your life that made you feel truly alive?
Reflecting on my life, I find myself drawn to a particular moment that undoubtedly marked my true entry into existence: the very moment of my birth. It’s fascinating to think back on it, even though I have no conscious memories of that day since it was so long ago. However, I often wonder what it must have been like for me during those nine long months spent in my mother’s womb. It couldn’t have been the most comfortable or liberating experience. I can only imagine how restrictive and confining it felt, surrounded by the warm yet limiting walls of her body.
But then, the moment of my arrival came. I’m told that when I emerged into the world, I received a swift little smack on my bottom, a rather shocking introduction to life outside the womb. In that instant, everything changed. It was as if a switch flipped, and I experienced the rush of being alive for the first time. The sound of my own cries filled the air, a poignant expression of my newfound existence. In that crucial moment, as I took my first breath and grasped the reality of the world outside, I truly felt alive for the very first time.
