By nature, I find myself standing apart from the prevailing norms—a trait I consider a gift. In sharing this perspective, I am compelled to reflect on the beliefs and actions That my many individuals still clinging to an indoctrinated mindset—my former self included—adhere to with unwavering conviction. Below is a representative list of these beliefs, which can often lead people astray:
1. Embracing the role of a superficial patriot while reveling in the identity of a soldier.
2. Practicing the notion of turning the other cheek, often at the expense of one’s own dignity.
3. Accepting the identity of a martyr, willing to sacrifice one’s life for a cause that may not serve personal or collective enlightenment.
4. Choosing to end one’s own life in the name of a cause, viewing it as an act of heroism rather than a tragic outcome.
5. Engaging in acts of violence—killing, bombing, or coercively indoctrinating others to rally behind a specific agenda.
These points illustrate a troubling trend wherein individuals, caught in the grips of indoctrination, forgo true understanding and critical thought in favor of blind allegiance to ideals that may lead to destruction rather than meaningful progress.
